The President of Georgia laid a cornerstone at the construction of the Gldani Professional Retraining Center and modern sport complex. Mikheil Saakashvili symbolically put a capsule in the foundation of the building and addressed the audience. During his speech, the Head of State focused attention on the processes that are going on around the entire country. The President noted that a lot more should be done compared to what has been done in the last 5 years, because otherwise overcoming the problems of the country will be unachievable. According to Mikheil Saakashvili, unemployment and the lack of prospects has to stay in the past once and for all. The President also mentioned that opening such centers is one more step forward in the process of achieving our goal.

“We will create a center which will be the symbol of our adjustment to the job market and we will finally say goodbye to unemployment and the lack of prospects.” - stated the President during his speech. The Gldani Retraining Center, which is being built by the initiative of the President of Georgia, will become functional at the end of May. The main purpose of this center will be retraining individuals and preparing them for the job market. The retraining will, for the most part, be administered in technical subjects and people of any age group will have a chance to participate.

The infrastructure around the center will be renovated and a sports complex with a swimming pool, that will be accessible for everyone, will be built. According to Mikheil Saakashvili, Professional Retraining Centers will also be opened in Samgori, Vazisubani, Varketili, Nadzaladevi and in other locations in Georgia. The President of Georgia will manage each one of them personally.
