The Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Bernard Kouchener visited Georgia

Bernard Kouchener arrived in Georgia on July 14, the French National Holiday, Bastille Day. He celebrated this day in Tbilisi together with the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili during the unofficial meeting. The warm welcome ceremony for the French FM was held in the informal atmosphere. At the President's Palace he was greeted with the cake decorated in the colors of French national flag. The unofficial dinner finished with the fireworks.

Official negotiations will start tomorrow. The French FM will meet his Georgian counterpart and will visit the European House, where he will hold a meeting with the representatives of the diplomatic corps and the civil society. He will visit the new building of the French Embassy in Tbilisi and the French School.

After a tête-à-tête meeting with Mikheil Saakashvili they will hold a joint press conference.
