On July 12 President Mikheil Saakashvili made an announcement on the top officials' reshuffle. According to President Saakashvili Head of the President's Administration Gigi Ugulava will replace Tbilisi Mayor Zurab Chiaberashvili.

President Saakashvili nominated Zurab Chiaberashvili for the post of Georgian ambassador to the Council of Europe.

General Secretary of the National Movement' party, an MP Giorgi Arveladze will temporarily execute the duties of a Head of Administration of the President.
