Today President Mikheil Saakashvili called on an emergency government meeting to take preventive measures against chicken flue. 
The Georgian government has already restricted import of meat from Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Russia. "The government will take all the measures to prevent the spread of chicken flu to Georgia," President Saakashvili said adding that the government was planning to purchase a special disinfection equipment.
