President Mikheil Saakashvili on October 24 met with Tbilisi subway director general, Zurab Kikaleishvili, and Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava at the State Chancellery. At the meeting President Saakashvili said that Tbilisi subway in two years should resemble the one in Prague and should fully meet the European standards. He instructed the subway director to repair one of the subway stations in three months and all the stations in a year. The President stressed that the fare would not increase and after a month the first modernized train will serve the citizens of Tbilisi.
