President Saakashvili to leave for Germany

On February 1 President Mikheil Saakashvili will pay five-day working visit to Germany to attend 42nd international conference in Munich.

On February 1 President Saakashvili is scheduled to meet with the Georgian ambassadors to Europe.

On February 2 President Saakashvili will meet with the Federal Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal Defense Minister of Germany Franz-Josef Jung and the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany Professor Horst Kohler. The same day President Saakashvili will participate in a forum organized by the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP).

On February 3 President Saakashvili will leave for Munich where he will meet with the US Permanent Representative to NATO Victoria Nuland and the US Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld.

On February 4 President Saakashvili is scheduled to meet with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Minister of Defense of Poland Radoslav Sikorski, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO and the National Assembly of France Pierre Lellouche, OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut and the Senators Joseph I. Lieberman and John McCain.

During the visit President Saakashvili will also meet with the representatives of the German and world's mass media and leading politicians and economist.

President Saakashvili will return to Georgia on February 5.
