President Saakashvili visits China

On April 9 President Mikheil Saakashvili paid 5-day working visit to the People's Republic of China.

On April 11 President Saakashvili will meet with the President of China's National Machinery & Equipment Import & Export Corporation, Mr. Xie Biao. Afterwards, President Saakashvili will go to the National People's Congress. The same day negotiations will take place between Georgia and China after which joint documents will be signed.

On April 12 trade and economic forum of Georgia and China will open after which President Saakashvili will meet with the Prime Minister of China, Wen Jiabao. President Saakashvili is also scheduled to meet with vice-president of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Mrs. Ruiqi Lin, and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Wu Banggua.

On April 13 President Saakashvili will leave Peking for Shanghai where he will meet with the City Mayor Han Zheng.

On April 14 the Georgian President will visit Pudong New Area (free trade zone) and ZTE Corporation. The same day Georgian-Chinese business seminar will be held.

President Saakashvili will return to Georgia on April 15.
