I have lost personal friend and an advisor for a long period of time, the Georgian society a noble minded, wise and heartfelt person, the Parliament of Georgia has lost a distinguished public figure. I express my condolences to Gia Arsenishvili's family and relatives, and I share the pain and sorrow caused by his death".

By the decision of the President of Georgia Gia Arsenishvili was awarded with the Presidential Order of Excellency posthumously.
