The President of Georgia awarded pilots Zaur Kortoshadze and Shamil Kortoshadze with state decorations today. Mikheil Saakashvili decorated former head of the Infantry Command Helicopter Base - Colonel Shamil Kortoshadze with the Victory Order of Saint George for high professionalism and devotion expressed while protecting Georgia’s state border, and former Senior Pilot of State Border Protection Agency’s Transport Helicopter Unit - Lieutenant Colonel Zaur Kortoshadze with the Presidential Order of Excellence.

The President of Georgia also decorated members of State Special Protection Service with medals of Vakhtang Gorgasali Honor.
