“My dear citizens, Novruz Bairam is as dear and valuable to me as any important holiday in Georgia. I am celebrating this day with you and looking at the future our country with an eye of hope. Novruz Bairam is a family holiday and as a member of your family I share your happiness related to this holiday.

I am proud that we are creating a unified Georgian state, in which the representatives of every culture, denomination, and ethnicity will consider themselves fully eligible children. We are building this country together and each one of us is ready to sacrifice for it. It is not a coincidence that the greatest book of Georgia “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” mentions this holiday.

 This day is valuable not only for every citizen of Georgia but for world culture and civilization as well. March 21^st was declared by the UNESCO General Assembly as the cultural treasure of the world and an international holiday.
