President Mikhail Saakashvili visited Borjomi today, and led an official ceremony of the central park reconstruction site. President Saakashvili said that he would personally control the reconstruction activities so that people could use European Standard Park this summer. President believes that this project would significantly facilitate the process of employing the local population and assist development of tourism in the region. He also mentioned that by the end of the reconstruction project the residents of the park territory would benefit from a supply of natural gas and water.

Presidential fund has already allocated 10 000 000 GEL for the popularization of this resort. Mikhail Saakashvili also plans to take approximately 50 000 students to Borjomi on holidays from August to October.

President Saakashvili also visited #2 "Borjomi Mineral Water" factory and indicated that he was hopeful, that production and export indicator would soon exceed that of former Soviet Union.

Mikhail Saakashvili has granted 100 lari to 365 recently married couples and 50 lari to leading school teachers of the region.
