President Saakashvili visits Kazakhstan

On January 10 President Mikheil Saakashvili met with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana. After face-to-face talks President Saakashvili said that soon Kazakhstan will become Georgia's number one investor. 
President Saakashvili stated that the Georgian government would try to attract Kazakh investments to Adjara also, stressing that it was a significant fact that the Kazakhs had bought Tbilgazi. 

At the meeting the two Presidents mainly discussed energy issues. Prior to the meeting President Nazarbayev said that many wish to strain the Georgian-Kazakhstan relationship, however it would never happen. 

The Georgian sculptor, Zurab Tsereteli, who was also attending the meeting, presented President Nazarbayev with his [Nursultan Nazarbayev's] portrait and chonguri [traditional Georgian musical instrument]. 

The Kazakh President asked Mr. Tsereteli to put up a statue in Astana.
