The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili opened a new health centre "Medina" in Batumi. First Lady Sandra Rulovs attended the ceremony as well. According to the President's statement the State should support the opening of such clinics. He said that almost 100 people will be employed in this centre. There are five medical centers in this private clinic. The in-patient department is equipped with the most contemporary apparatus. "Our main mission is to make sure that our population could afford treatment in such clinics. The main point is that, now we have the type of clinic in Adjara region, that the local population could come and get treated." stated Mikheil Saakashvili.
