The President of Georgia met with the President of Switzerland - Micheline Calmy-Rey within the scope of the UN 66th General Assembly. The sides discussed issues of mutual cooperation and set future goals. The discussion touched on the topic of increasing the role of Switzerland as mediator in Georgian-Russian relations. The Heads of State agreed that this dialogue will continue and that the sides will cooperate more extensively in the future.
Mikheil Saakashvili and Micheline Calmy- Rey also talked about the membership of Russia in the World Trade Organization.
