The President of Georgia congratulated the Cacholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia – his holiness and beatitude Ilia II on his 34th anniversary. His holiness and beatitude welcomed the President personally at the Sameba Cathedral and introduced the new icon to him called “The Hope of Georgia”, which was created through donations.
Mikheil Saakashvili visited the Sameba Cathedral with his family. Representatives of the executive and legislative branches of government attended the prayer in the name of the 34 anniversary of his holiness and beatitude Catholicols-Patriarch of all Georgia.
