Mikheil Saakashvili continues his visit to Peru. The purpose of visit was to attend inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Peru. Besides the inauguration ceremony events dedicated to the Independence Day of Peru are held in Lima as well, which will continue for two days. The President of Georgia is visiting Peru by official invitation of Ollanta Humala. Mikheil Saakashvili will attend the parade as well.
He already met with the President of Panama Ricardo Martinelli. They discussed bilateral relations and issues of regional importance. Mikheil Saakashvili also met with the Mayor of Lima Susan Villaran, who got interested with Georgian reforms and achieved success. Talks as well concerned future cooperation. Sides discussed the perspectives of sister cities. Mikheil Saakashvili also met Alekhandro Toledo who was the President of Peru in 2001-2006.
