President Mikheil Saakashvili and the power ministers visited Gori on September 24 to see the ongoing reconstruction works there, attend presentation of the third biggest monitor in Georgia, installed in the center of Gori and deliver apartments, purchased and repaired by the Ministry of Defense several months ago, to the officers dislocated in Gori.
While visiting Gori President Saakashvili commented on the ongoing events in the conflict zone, stressing that the latest events that took place in Kartli was an absolute provocation. "No one would manage to drag Georgia into any kind of provocation" President Saakashvili said particularly underscoring the necessity of peaceful negotiations.
"We cooperate with the OSCE mission. Interesting details are emerging as a result of investigations. Georgia does not need provocation and straining the situation. Georgia is developing. With our development we will set an example of success, which will deprive the separatists of all the desire to plan any kind of provocation," President Saakashvili said.
