The President met the local population and listened to them regarding the process of vintage, the amount of the gathered harvest and the prices. The President promised them to construct a new hydroelectric station and to build a high level resort on Shaori.

As the President pointed out Khvanchkara, which grows in Racha doesn't need any advertisements and it is very popular in the Ukraine, Central Asia and other countries.

The President said that it is very good that the vintage went well this year, but it must be better next year.

As Mikheil Saakashvili stated we have already learned how to produce good quality wine and now we have to learn how to sell it.

Company "Hippy" tested apples from Racha, this is the largest company producing infants' food. This company bought a factory in Georgia.

Mikheil Saakashvili recalled his meeting with the manager of the above-mentioned company. As he pointed out he was speaking with the manager of the company when radical opposition representatives appeared and held an action of protest there.

The President said that next year every village must have an agronomist. In the regional centers there will open a center where agronomists will inform local farmers on the new breeds, technologies and some necessary issues and will consult them as well.

The population spoke with President about existing problems and asked him to regulate the problems concerning the roads, tractors and gasification in the villages.

The President promised to help them and said that next year the construction of Namakhvani hydroelectric station will start, where some 6-7 thousand people will be employed. Thus, the young people who left Racha must start thinking about the return.

In order to start the work purposefully it is necessary to meet these people often and to discuss issues locally.
