Two days summit opens in Warsaw

The capital of Poland hosts two days summit of the Heads of States and the Government of 46 member states of the Council of Europe today.

President Mikheil Saakashvili left for Warsaw yesterday and is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Salome Zurabishvili and other government officials.

President Saakashvili met with the President of Latvia, Vaira Vike-Freiberga today, and is scheduled to meet with the President of Bulgaria, Georgi Parvanov, Prime Minister of Norway Kjell Magne Bondevijk and the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian.

Before the opening of the Summit a concert to celebrate this event was held. President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, presidents of Georgia, Moldova, Lithuania and other guests attended the concert.

President Mikheil Saakashvili will deliver a speech at the Council of Europe Summit.
